Pompey to Pompeii Logo1500 miles in the saddle, 3 weeks battling against the roads, mountains and valleys, traffic and the elements: this is the challenge 20 cyclist will face from September 10th to October 2nd during their journey from Portsmouth (Pompey), UK, across Europe to Pompeii, southern Italy. It’s challenging enough for the UK cyclists to ride the “wrong” (right) side of the road for 17 days but the ultimate goal is to raise funds for the Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (UK) and to increase awareness of the families living with the life threatening and debilitating Glycogen Storage Diseases. One of the riders is Allan Muir, Chairman of the IPA and father to a Pompe son.
