Joint NEMA and BOKS Pompe Disease Day for patients and their families

This joint information day for Pompe patients is organised by NEMA (Flamish Association for Neuromuscular Diseases) and BOKS (Belgian Organisation for Children and Adults with Metabolic Diseases). The day will start in the afternoon at 13.30 hrs. with the following guest speakers: Prof. Van Damme (University Hospital Gasthuisberg), Prof. De Meirleir (University Hospital Brussels) and Prof. Eyskens (University Hospital Antwerpen). Topics of the program will be: diagnosis and genetics of Pompe Disease, The state of the art and the new developments in Pompe Disease and what are Neuromuscular Reference Centers (NMRC) and Centres for Genetic Metabolic Diseases (CEMA) and what can they do for patients? Additionally a Pompe patient will talk about his experience to live with Pompe Disease. The meeting will be in Dutch.
